Glee Episode Three Acafellas

Will has his parents (Victor Garbor, and Debra Monk) over for dinner and he tells them that he and Terri are expecting and Will confides in his father, telling him that he is afraid of being a dad.

After a little tiff with Rachel who tells Will that his choreography sucks, the Glee kids decide to hire a well-known choreographer Dakota Stanley to take over the job.  His style is pretty over the top (remember the choreographer from Bring It On?) and doesn’t fit with the personality of the Glee Club.

Will forms an all-male a capella group with his friends and they name it the Acafellas.  Will spends all of this time practicing with the group and neglects his responsibilities as the head of New Directions.  The Cheerios, wanting to take full advantage of Will’s absence set out for destruction and target Mercedes who desperately wants a boyfriend.  They convince her to go after Kurt and she ends up crushing hard and being devastated when he does not reciprocate her feelings.  After she sings a killer rendition of Bust Your Windows the two make up and Kurt confesses that he is Gay.

Meanwhile the Acafellas have booked a gig performing for the P.T.A. and end up getting a surprise visit from Josh Groban.  It turns out that Sandy is a Josh Groban super fan and had been stalking him and sending him gifts, and Groban warns Sandy to stay away from him.  After the concert, Will realizes that his passion isn’t being on stage, but he loves mentoring the students so he heads back to McKinley High to resume working with the Glee club.

Glee Showmance Season One Episode Two S01E02

Posted on 16 September 2009 by admin

The Glee episode entitled “Showmance” begins as Will (Matthew Morrison) starts his day.  We see him drive up in his beat up car, and walk through the parking lot engaging in some quick banter with all of the New Directions kids.  As he enters the campus, we see Emma (Jayma Mays) waiting around a corner to “accidently” run into Will, and as he approaches that’s exactly what she does.  They have a quick conversation, and Quinn (Dianna Agron) passes and tells will that Ms. Sylvester (Jane Lynch) is waiting for him in her office and she doesn’t like to be kept waiting!

Will enters Sue’s office where she is just finishing up “blasting her hammies” and she offers him an iron pill with the advice that it “Keeps your strength up while menstruating.”  To which Will says, “I don’t menstruate” and Sue announces “either do I”.  Sue mentions to Will that Principal Figgins (Iqbal Theba) has told her that if the Glee club doesn’t place at Regionals, they will be disbanded.   She then offers him a job as his assistant if and when that happens.  Will tells Sue that he’s not worried as the Glee kids are phenomenal, and then Sue pulls out a copy of The Show Choir Rule Book and informs Will that if the Glee club wants to perform at Regionals they need to have 12 members, and currently they only have 5 and a half.

The next scene cuts to Finn (Cory Monteith) and Quinn arguing by Finn’s locker, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) is nearby not so subtly eavesdropping on their conversation.  Quinn is yelling at Finn because she is concerned that his involvement in the Glee club is going to jeopardize their chances of becoming Homecoming King and Queen, and she promises him that if he quits New Directions that she’ll let him feel her up, over the bra of course!  Finn walks away and Quinn pulls Rachel aside to not so nicely tell her to back off of her man!  As the conversation is wrapping up Puck (Mark Salling) walks by and throws a slurpee in Rachel’s face.

Now we are brought to the Glee club rehearsal.  The scene begins as the kids are performing Le Freak.  As they wrap up the song Will announces that they will be performing the song at the school assembly to try and drum up some new members for the Glee club.  Everyone is horrified, convinced that performing the song will be humiliating so they try to get Will to pick a more updated song but he insists that Le Freak is the way to go, after all they did win the 93’ Nationals with it!

Next we join Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig) and Will as they are having brunch with Terri’s sister and her family.  They decide that since Terri is expecting, the Scheuster’s are going to have to buy a new house.  Terri and Will go look at a model home and Terri falls in love.  Will promises to provide whatever she wants, no matter what it takes as the new house is at the top of their budget.  Will takes a second job as school janitor to help foot the bill.

Back at the school, we’re again brought to the Glee kids rehearsing.  Will lets the group know that he was listening when they asked for some updated music, and breaks out the sheet music for a new song.  Gold Digger!  They perform the song, with Will doing the main rap and everyone is excited as they want to sing this at the school assembly instead of Le Freak.  Will disappoints the group as he tells them the number won’t be ready in time, and they will still be singing Le Freak.

Rachel is determined to save herself and the rest of the Glee kids from humiliation, so with the help of Finn sets out to make fliers to hang around school in an effort to get some new members and be able to cancel the show.  The two are caught by Sue and brought to the Principal’s office, where Will is asked to join them.  Sue goes on and on about how the principal won’t believe what they were doing, and when it comes out that they were just using the Cheerio’s copy machine, they decide to just make them pay for the copies and that is that.

The group decides to meet behind Will’s back, and they decide to sex up the performance for the assembly.  Not knowing anything about this, Will introduces the group to the school and the sing their version of Push It.  The song is a huge hit with the student population however the administration is horrified.  Will, Principal Figgins, and Sue Sylvester.  Sue urges the principle to disband the Glee club; however, he realizes their talent and potential and gives them a second chance.  The only condition he has is they must sing songs from a list given to him by his pastor.

Rachel and Finn are practicing together when things get a little romantic.  The two begin eating a picnic lunch, and start to make out.  Finn, realizing he’s unable to control his excitement jumps up and begs Rachel not to tell anyone this happened.  Meanwhile, Terri is at the doctor and discovers that she is having a hysterical pregnancy.

Not wanting to lose her man to the Glee club, Quinn and her friend decide to audition.  They sing a fabulous rendition of “I Say a Little Prayer” and a very impressed Will lets them in.  Coach Sue Sylvester is not happy that the girls have decided to join the Glee club, and decides to take advantage of their membership to try to infiltrate from the inside.  Finn and Quinn patch things up and Rachel watches as it all happens and is very hurt.  The show ends as Rachel is singing “Take a Bow”, and reflecting on the relationship she wants to have with Finn.

Glee Pilot Episode Season One Episode One S01E01

Posted on 17 August 2009 by admin

In the first episode of Glee we are introduced to each of the characters, and are given a breakdown of the McKinley High social standings. As explained by Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) coach of Mckinley’s cheerleading squad The Cheerios, High School is a caste system where the athletes, cheerleaders and popular kids are in the penthouse, and members of the Glee Club are in the sub-basement.

Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison), a former member of the glee club back in it’s glory days decides to take over the glee club, and is surprised to see that the club is made up of such an eclectic group. You have Rachel (Lea Michele) the self proclaimed super-star, Mercedes (Amber Riley), the resident diva, Kurt (Chris Colfer), the fashion forward male soprano, Arty (Kevin McHale), the in a wheelchair guitar player, Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) the punk rocker. Even though Will recognizes their talent, he knows that for the club to survive he needs to find out a way to get more members – especially a strong male lead.

After realizing that the clubs survival depends on getting more talent, Will sets out to recruit some members for the glee club and starts out with the football team. However, since being a member of the glee club would be social suicide none of the football players are interested in joining. Will is forced to resort to using blackmail, and convinces the football team’s star quarterback Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) that he has found a bag of his marijuana, and unless he agrees to join the glee club, Schuester will have no choice but to turn him in which would end his football career. Finn agrees to join the glee club – which Will has renamed New Directions, and takes his place as the clubs male lead.

Rachel and Finn have immediate chemistry, however, the glee club as a whole needs to figure out how to put it all together. Complicating things is the news that Mr Scheuster is leaving the school and the glee club to take a higher paying job after hearing of the upcoming arrivial of his first child. Shocked by the news, the members of New Directions get to work and by the end of the episode we see the club come together and do a fantastic rendition of the Journey Song Don’t Stop Believing. Will catches this performance and realizes that he cant quit something he loves and decides to stay on as director of the glee club.  After the song ends Will states that it’s a 9 and they’ll need a 10 to win nationals, and the group gets back to work.
